"Tonight (alive and kicking)" is an installation consisting of a pattern of small stars printed on the wall using a particular model of shoe whose rubber toe features a star-shaped relief. The action takes the form of an invisible, repetitive dance performed exclusively during the installation process, leaving the audience alone with its trace, which runs along the perimeter of the exhibition space. The stars, traditionally associated with dreams and desire, are brought down to ground level, where they meet the baseboard, an architectural element that quietly marks the boundary between wall and floor, between the intimate and the public. Through this gesture, the exhibition space takes on the appearance of a domestic interior, evoking the ambivalent relationship between desire, intimacy and the structures that shape family life. The work must be installed at night, with the process livestreamed on social media, allowing only those who remain awake during those hours to witness the action. This form of documentation evokes the night of the Perseids, a meteor shower commonly known as the Tears of Saint Lawrence or, according to Etruscan tradition, associated with the night of Acca Larentia, protector of the humble.
